Key numbers explained
- 369,9 EUR is the current share price, representing the cost to buy one share today.
- The trailing P/E ratio of 21,5 shows how much investors pay per euro of the company's last 12 months of earnings; a lower P/E ratio can suggest a stock is cheaper relative to earnings, but comparisons within the sector matter.
- The forward P/E ratio of 17,8 uses expected future earnings, which can be more relevant than the trailing figure if growth is anticipated.
- The dividend yield of 0,97% indicates the annual dividend as a percentage of the share price; it measures the cash income return for shareholders.
- The ex-dividend date of May 8, 2026 is the cutoff: you must own the stock before this date to receive the next dividend payment.
- 21% of earnings are paid out as dividends, meaning the company retains most of its profit for reinvestment.
- Beta of 0,9 suggests the stock tends to move about 10% less than the overall market.
- The 52-week range of 265,2 – 404,8 shows the lowest and highest prices over the past year, placing the current price in the middle of that band.
What to watch
Investors in MTU Aero Engines often monitor the aerospace cycle, defense spending trends, and airline fleet growth, as these affect engine demand and maintenance volumes. The company's exposure to both commercial and military customers can provide some balance during economic shifts. The nextEarningsDate of Oct 29, 2026 is a key date for updated financial results. Because MTX is part of the DAX, broader European market moves and euro exchange rates can also influence its price.
