Key numbers explained
- 26.3 EUR is the current share price, the last traded price on Euronext Paris stocks.
- The trailing P/E ratio of 8 divides the current share price by the last twelve months of earnings per share (3.27 EUR), showing how much investors pay per euro of recent earnings.
- The forward P/E ratio of 3.9 uses expected future earnings, which can be lower if the market anticipates earnings growth.
- The dividend yield of 8.37% is the annual dividend per share divided by the current price, indicating the cash return relative to the share price.
- The ex-dividend date of May 8, 2026 is the cutoff: buyers on or after this date do not receive the next dividend.
- 67% of earnings is paid out as dividends, meaning roughly two-thirds of net income is returned to shareholders.
- 0.82 is the beta, a measure of the stock's volatility relative to the overall market; below 1 suggests lower sensitivity to market swings.

What to watch
- Renault operates in the Consumer Cyclical sector and Auto Manufacturers industry, so its performance is tied to consumer spending, interest rates, and fuel prices.
- The company's debt-to-equity ratio of 327.7% is high, which can affect financial flexibility during economic downturns or rising rate environments.
- Revenue growth of 9.4% year over year and a profit margin of 1.6% show top-line expansion but thin profitability, common in capital-intensive auto manufacturing.
- The next earnings release is scheduled for Jul 29, 2026, which can drive short-term price moves as the market digests results.
- As a large-cap component of the CAC 40, Renault can be influenced by sector rotation and broader European equity trends.
