What to watch
Investors tracking PPG Industries often monitor macroeconomic conditions that affect construction and automotive demand, since these sectors drive much of its revenue. Currency movements across its global operations, raw material costs for paints and coatings, and competitive dynamics within the specialty chemicals industry are also relevant. The company’s position in the S&P 500 and its relationship with peers such as Sherwin-Williams (SHW) can provide context for relative performance. Earnings reports, scheduled for 27 Oct 2026, and dividend policy changes are standard catalysts to follow.
